I am a certified educator boasting over 20 years of experience in the classroom and supporting families with students with unique learning needs.
An advocate of inclusion, I appreciate diversity in learning styles and preferences and the richness it adds to the learning environment.
PHILOSOPHY
My core belief is that all learners are great and all learners are capable of achieving great things.
I have read, written, & edited, hundreds of education plans for students including IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans.
I know how difficult it can be to design a learning plan that is at once individualized, inclusive and intentional.
As a parent, I empathize with families and understand how important it is and challenging it can be to make informed decisions on behalf of one’s child.
PASSION
I have supported and worked alongside students as they have overcome challenges, exceeded expectations, achieved goals and redefined what it means to truly be exceptional every day.
My guiding passion is to ensure that parents and students are empowered to knowledgeably engage in the education planning process; to assist them in advocating for inclusive and progressive programming.
